BASIC NURSES ASSISTANCE TRAINING PROGRAM (BNATP)
Seven weeks are required to complete this program. Total hours of instruction/activities/lab time: 120.00 hrs.
This state-approved Basic Nursing Assistant Training course provides instruction and hands-on experience in the classroom/lab and clinical settings in the basic nursing assistant skills required to work in a variety of health care settings. Skills include the 21 IDPH required skills as well as all elements of personal care, vital sign measurements, body mechanics, safety measures including reinforcement of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), resident rights, infection control, communication, and observation.

LOZTI is Certified by the Illinois Board of Higher Education, (IBHE)/Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH).

Basic Construction/ Carpentry
Lights of Zion Training Institute Provides students with instruction and experience in residential Building Construction & Carpentry.
We Offer Practical application and experience as an integral part of the Basic Carpentry/ Construction program. We provide students with real, hands-on training and skill development opportunities.
Emphasizing leading practices from Union Certified trainers, our program prepares students to obtain jobs in the field of carpentry by providing training and experience, that is designed for individuals who want to pursue a career.
Instruction includes basic construction math; framing of floors, walls; Drywall & Painting, and Basic Electrical.

JANITORIAL / EVS TRAINING
Lights of Zion (LOZ) provides a 6-week Janitorial Job Training Program which includes:
10 Hour OSHA regulation training (Occupational Safety and Health Administration). 40 hours of classroom exposure, which include: workbook study, video presentation, guest speakers, basic math, Fundamental of Green Cleaning, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Mold Remediation training.
Advanced Levels Included: 20 hours of EVS Training (Environmental Services Technician). EVS Technicians are trained to understand the concepts of disinfection and are technically proficient to provide quality services to health care facilities. Along with the training manual, they are shown training videos that cover the complete EVS program. EVS trainees are required to pass the written competencies of the 54 procedures within the EVS Program.
